I was selected as one of 250 people across the US (along with my lovely sister-in-law, Erika) to host an AncestryDNA House Party on June 7th to share this awesome service with friends and family. Erika and I decided to co-host our parties together at her house and we had so much fun! Guests got to fill out a name tag to say where they’re from, build a family tree at the Family Tree Creation Station, guess where Erika and I are from with a fun map game, sample international foods from different countries, and learn about our AncestryDNA results reveal and what kinds of things they could learn from this service. Erika and I shared our results with our guests and Erika walked them through the process on her computer so they could see what kinds of things they could expect. We had a great time looking at old family photos and telling stories. At the end of the party, guests received a fun gift bag including an adorable little tree planting kit from AncestryDNA and House Party!
